upgrading my computer.. need suggestion..

Hello,

I got my PC 2years ago i think, from an ordinary shop here. And it works fine for me for the past years. Then it happened that my cousins want to play some games on it and then my gpu (ati x1550) i think stop on working and now im usin only my on board graphic accelerator.. i want to buy new one.. but don't know if it will work on my system.. will it work??? im just new on upgrading.. here some of cards i saw on local store in my area that fits my budget. pls. don't give me a suggestion that not on my list.

Hi and welcome to OCN.

The HD 5xx line gives you the DX11 advantage, so, I think that one of those are a good option.

Out of those choices , the HD5550 is ahead by a fair bit.

I agree the 5550 would be the best choice out of those options heres another benchmark review for the 5550 http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...5,2704-13.html what is your budget and are you willing to order on line odds are you could get a much better card if you ordered off of the net.

heres a link to the 4830 and one for the 9800gt they will be better performers than the 5550 although you will lose direct x 11

If your not comfortable with ordering online then i would pick up the 5550 it would be your best bet out of the listed cards.
