It's only 10-ft of expected rain, so that's more like a bunch of small ponds all over the place. Plus that water will be very contaminated, as the report states.

from what i understand... 21/12/12 is the end of the 5th age or something like that. according to the last tidbits of remaining mayan codex we have left on earth (i think only 1 complete book lol), each age ended in some type of cataclysmic disaster. a superstorm here in cali would suck mainly because I'd be dead. the things that baffle me from the whole mayan thing is that they just freaking disappeared overnight. poof. gone. another thing that's interesting is the fact that our solar maximum has yet to arrive. i'm thinking that the hotter weather from a solar maximum could potentially brew up a nasty storm here on the west coast. all in all, this news sucks big time. the only thing people in the future will remember us by is a bunch of crap they found in landfills and plastic 6 pack beer holders on the necks of random animals.
