Hello fellow Butte person! (Chico here) I agree with ya too, North of SF is the true NorCal.
(okay, maybe just the Northier NorCal)

If the rain storm is as big as they are saying, it will flood the entire central valley. There is an enormous population that lives here and massive amounts of food come out of here. This would make the flood back in 1997 look like a pool party. You will all be missing us when the food prices go through the roof.
The central valley doesn't house that many people. It's a large area, but the VAST majority of people in CA are in the Bay Area, LA or San Diego. The biggest metro area is Sacramento, which is around 2 million people. It would be TONS worse than how N.O. got hit but the majority of the people in Cali aren't there.

If Cali lost most of it's people, I'm sure gas prices would actually go down.
Timber? There is tons on this side of the US. Not to mention up north.
You act like Cali is like the most important thing ever.
He's not, you're just a hater. If Cali got flooded, you'd lose tech, music, movies, the #8 economy in the world, the #1 federal tax payer and the #1 produce producer.

The rest of the nation would be fuxored without us, but again in this day and age of Rush, Beck, Palin & Fox, hating on Cali is cool.

Just go to Venice Beach when you aren't busy... or Santa Monica. Since you are from OH, might as well take in what you can get as much as you can out of your stay this summer and on!

Good luck with traffic though.

Ok. I'm a little scared. I live about 15 miles away from the beach, so I'm hoping it flood for 14.5 miles so that way I could have a beach house XD.
