Partial Revision of my last build, decided to go with a new clean thread.

Rig Specs:
  • Core i7 2600K
  • MSI P67A-GD65 (till Big Marshal Release)
  • XFX Black Edition XPS-850W
  • G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 7-8-7-24
  • Corsair Obsidian 800D
  • NZXT White Single Sleeved Extensions
  • Crucial C300 128GB SSD
  • 1 TB WD Black Caviar 64mb cache
  • 1 TB Samsung F3 (was an impulse buy xD)
  • 640 GB WD Black Caviar
  • 1 TB Samsung F3
  • Logitech G500
  • Logitech G510
  • Logitech X-530 Speaker set
  • Acer 23" (hold over till 27" upgrade)
  • XFX HD 6970 (possibly CrossFire)


Cooling Parts:
  • Swiftech MCR320 QPK (bought off a local friend)
  • Swiftech MCP655 Vario (bought off a local friend)
  • XSPC Dual Bay Res
  • Swiftech Apogee XT
  • Primochill Primo-Flex 7/16" x 5x8" White tubing (jab-tech)
  • 6x Yate loon High speed's / 120mm fans (jab-tech)
  • Arctic Cooling Accelero Extreme plus for the GPU

This is the Current plan, as said the New board, Monitor and possibly a second 6970 are in the near future upgrade list, for now, i just want to finish the rig so i can close the case and put it on my table for once

Sandy bridge under water is just full of win. Temps are just crazy good.

Parts arriving in the next 2 hrs

got off work early, thanks to sergeants time training gotta love it.

heres some more updates on the configurations:

- 1tb Samsung F3, was an impulse buy as newegg had em for 55 bucks shipped xD
- Arctic Cooling Accelero Extreme plus with VR001 sinks for my 6970


also going to replace the rad fans that are pushing with some higher grade ones, not sure on which yet, but ill update it as soon as i make a choice!

the whole rig will be repasted (cpu/vga/sinnks on the board and so on) with MX-4, thanks to a suggestion of a member here, i ve switched from using AS 5 to mx4 and it looks like its a winner
