MBP Question

Thread Starter
This is a question for the Mac guys, if I purchase the 15" MBP and want to install my own SSD separately, I should be able to directly put on a fresh image of OS X on the said new drive without even booting the machine for the first time? Just wanted some clarity on this as all the guides out there are for people that want to clone their existing drive.

If your sdd comes with a usb cable you might be able to clone your existing drive. There are some tools that are in OS X that will clone it for you.

I understand I could clone the existing drive, but i don't plan on even turning the laptop on until i install the SSD that I buy separately. What I am asking is if I can just boot to the leopard disk and install a clean image.

I'm sure you can...I don't see why you won't be able to. Doesn't the MBP come with the recover disks?
