What are good temps for a 6870 + good GPU load testing program? - Page 2

I don't have any good answer then. Today I was playing Crysis and forgot to start Afterburner with the custom fan profile. So I looked at my GPU-Z log file and GPU temps had been at mid 70's-mid 80's C, because fans never went above 33%.

But that's still nowhere near what your cards doing. Must be some explanation. Maybe your chip had a bad TIM application? It should be cooling better than it is, you know Twin Frozr and all...

Yeah I think I'm going to RMA it. And when it gets back hopefully I'll have another one for crossfire.

Also I'm guessing you bought your 6870 from Newegg like me and got the OC edition?

Yes, in late November. I think everybody got their T-F-6870 from Newegg, and all OC from what I can tell. I asked in the other thread if anyone has seen a non-OC.
