So your "cheaper" i5-2500k will bench higher but anything over one video card will be lowering bandwidth for your video cards.

If you want 2 x16 lanes you have to spend what almost 300$? I spent 200 for my processor and 200 for my motherboard, and have two x16 lanes.
LOL, yet you have 1 570 and a psu that will barely run 2 if you tried. LOL

Actually it will run 2 just fine. And there are no games out there right now that require more than one 570 when overclocked. But when I need to get another I have the nice option to run them at x16/x16 as opposed to spending 300$+ on 1155 to get a x16/x16 board.

Also honestly what do you need tri-sli 480s for? Playing Heaven? Or 3dMark 11? There are no games that need that kind of power. Have fun playing benchmarks.

That is until software companies actually write their freakin software to be mulithreaded. But by then we'll be way past IB/Bulldozer and have CPUs with tens of cores.

This is what I need 3 for. Anyone else that wants to game like this needs 3 too. BBC2 at max detail with 32xAA is under 60fps @ 5850x1080p, but with 3 always over 60fps.

Don't know about you, but the reason I play on the pc is to run max settings with crazy AA enabled LOCKED at 60fps. Or I'd play on my Ps3

For all else, SB walks all over it. I would like to see one of the SB boards that have a NF200 in it run 4 cards at 8x8x8x8x, and see how that compares to 1366 at 16x16x16x16x. It's been said that 8x Pci-e is faster on SB than 16x Pci-e on 1366. Time will tell.

With my i7 2600k in vantage with HT off gets a 82K cpu score (physx on). My 980x HT on gets 83k

That's a quad vs a Hexa. It's pretty close.

PS. is more like. Mainstream (Just right), Enthusiast (Paid to much).
My Enthusiast rig COST $8k and my $2k SB hangs with it besides Gaming in surround.
Hmm I am interested to see the 4 cards all at 8X as well on Sb.

Maby turn phsyx off? And have the same clock speed's? Because the 2600k isn't that close to the 980x in vantage.

http://www.guru3d.com/article/core-i...600k-review/16

And NO. your comparing a new mainstream vs a old Enthusiast. Think about when Ivy come's out the price difference sould be simalar, I upgraded from 1156 to go 1366 and as I said Eww mainstream, just wait until Ivy come's out and it will be the same thing!

How did you pay $8K for that rig? Where you live? that's rough.

Thanks, Sir Overkill.

Oh. I didn't add the price of the 4 black lights, and $200 for Win7 ultimate but I don't really need too.

This is what anyone would pay if they went to Microcenter and paid normal price.

Wow you buy from microcenter? Man I could of got those parts cheaper here in australia and part's here are more expensive!
12gigs dominator 2000mhz $900? How!

Also I don't count screens as part of a rig, you can but I don't. So you were comparing your SB RIG for 2K with screens or without?
Because it doesn't make sense to compare your $8K rig with 3 screens included with your SB rig with how many screens included?

Talk about inflating one thing to look worse then another!!!

And the first half of my post was much more important, the bit about Vantage and the 980x and 2600k. Sad you didn't comment on that.

Thanks, Sir Overkill.

I didn't buy this stuff yesterday. I bought it when it came out.

Corsair Dominator Gt 2000mhz C8 cost $450 for 6gig when I bought it. It's now $369 for the same stuff.

I live 20min from Microcenter. It's worth me to spend a little more so if there's a problem, I can just take it back. No shipping crap to go through, and no waiting.

Ok, sorry about the screens being included. I'm use to sayin $8k when someone asks how much that setup cost.

My 55" samsung cost $2000 alone. So I guess my SB setup is $4k
