Recovery of a disk (WD15EARS)

I had tried reinstalling windows past weekend which went fine. Until I couldn't actually boot into the OS for a second time. So it only ever once booted into the OS which was right after the install (so on the finalizing pretty much).

When I checked out what the problem was using Parted Magic it seemed that it had installed the MBR on the wrong drive. Namely my 1.5TB WDEARS drive. Which is quite a long shot off a RAID0 setup of two 120GB Vertex 2's.

So I deleted the partition I tried to install Windows on. Formated both drives separately and remade the RAID0 setup of the two Vertex's. Then deleted the MBR partition that was on the wrong drive and formed it into the partition that was previously the only partition on that drive. When that was done I shut down the computer and disconnected all drives that I didn't need to install Windows 7 onto the RAID0 drives. All went fine there.

I checked the drive that was wrongfully used previously and everything seemed to be alright. It did do a CHKDSK on the drive when I had reconnected it but I figured that 40 minutes for a 1.5TB drive filled for 80% is regular. First time the drive ever had a CHKDSK and it's not exactly the fastest drive out there. But all the files seemed to be there.

But when I tried to put some of my music into my music player it would simply not put some songs in. And the songs that it did take would play, but they would play an entirely different song or start a different song somewhere in the middle (or start in the middle of a song for that matter). Generally pretty much screwed up. Opening an episode of Dexter would result in somehow opening 27 hours of music alone (not able to scroll through time, but it states 27 hours). It would actually play music back to back for at least 15 minutes.

Now my question is, is there any way to make it work properly again without losing my drive entirely (or partially for that matter). I have already done a CHKDSK /f on the drive to no avail (assuming it did the same as when I reconnected the drive seeing it took roughly the same time).

Currently running CHKDSK /r
Will share the result.

I would make a bootable Linux flash drive or cd. I find that puppy Linux works well. Then boot up Linux and try to get the files off of the problem drive and onto something else.
