SSD causes Boot Problems

Thread Starter
I am having a pretty big problem last night I was in the process of OCing my rig that has been running for 2 weeks I had a modest OC going then went into BIOS looked at changing some stuff but didn’t I restarted and got nothing. No beep, no boot, no video.

I tried everything I knew I took the RAM and VGA out multiple times and put them back in, I tried booting with no RAM and got beeps from the MOBO so I knew it wasn’t bad the PSU was good so I was scratching my head.

In the process I tried removing my HDD and still no boot so I plugged the HDD back in and removed the SSD and it booted to my relief, but it was wanting me to reinstall windows so I said hell if I have to reinstall windows I want it on my SSD again so shutdown plugged the SSD in and no BOOT I was like *** so I unplugged the SSD and reinstalled windows on the HDD. Now that the PC is running I have entered BIOS making sure everything is right for the SSD shut down plug the SSD inn and restart still nothing.

I have even hooked another HDD to the same SATA and SATA power as the SSD was hooked up to and it boots just fine recognizing both HDD’s.

So my question is *** is going on with the SSD causing the PC not to boot? Should I return it? Do you have any other suggestions as to how to fix this issue?

As you can see below my system specs (that was before the SSD had this problem)

And yes this SSD has worked on this rig before if I haven’t clarified that. Thanks for all the help.

You changed setting in BIOS, after that there's no POST, what you do after that is reset CMOS.

Can't connect between that and fact that removing SSD helps, never hear/seen such connection
Even if hdd is bad/burned it posts and if it doesn't contain OS it even bootups, or hangs at boot.
