Can't update BIOS on Gigabyte P67-UD7 with @bios software.

I currently have the F3 BIOS on my P67-UD7. I wanted to try updating to the latest F6 or F7a (beta) to see if I could wring out a couple more MHz out of my overclock. But when I try with the gigabyte @bios it fails. @BIOS specifically crashes. I've let it sit for 5-6 minutes as a dialog box pops up right before you attempt to flash the bios stating that the screen will freeze for a few moments. But again, it's not freezing the entire system, the program crashes and stops responding.

Anyone seen this on other Gigabyte boards and have any suggestions?

yes its because you are using @bios from the CD, you need to uninstall it and download the latest version off GB website, then it will work.

Download and flash to BIOS f6x, and use cpu pll overvoltage option you will increase your MHZ, also use turbo mode, disable all power saving and set TDP to 300 and set TDC to 300.

have a happy OC.

I tried downloading the latest @bios -- it still crashed when reading the bios and starting to write it. When you say use turbo mode, do i need to put the normal multiplier back to stock and enable turbo and set them all to my desired level? I leave my computer on 24/7 so i like to leave the power saving features enabled as my computer spends a lot of time idle while I'm at work. Will using the turbo to overclock kill power saivngs?

As for the bios, I even tried using Qflash within the bios itself and it told me the bios didn't match my board. And yet I downloaded it straight from Gigabyte's website in my motherboards' download section.

Ok. I could have sworn it automatically uninstalled the old one first. Hey, it was late. Thanks for the tip.

Yes, and if you still have issues after that please use this version of @BIOS
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mr56lfkom5mc63a

Once you flash one of those BIOSes included, the next time and all times after that you can use Qflash as you normally would.

Awesome, thanks! Are the included bios firmwares for my particular bios, or are you just linking to a different @bios version. (either way, thank you)
