BFBC2 bsod and win7

Thread Starter
i played BFBC2 on xp and had no problems and at the weekend i bought win7/32 and did all the updates but when i try to run BFBC2 now i am having 2 problems.
when i start up after changing the settings and the games starts and your in the boat i am unable to look up with the mouse only from side to side.
then i get a bsod with "dxgmms1.sys - Address 93BAE9AD base at 93B90000, DateStamp 4a5bc265" i think its a graphics driver problem and have tried different versions for win 7.

i have searched but a good few people are having the same problem.

ive just got this update from ms and i need to reboot then try it again
here is the link ive found.

Set all GPU/CPU/whatever to stock and try again. Reinstall/update video drivers and try again.

dxgmms1.sys looks like DirectX issues. Have you reinstalled DirectX ? Probably worth a go encase you have a corrupted file. I'd also run memtest to see if you have any issues with RAM, just to be safe.

Do you get this issue with any other game or just BC2? If its just BC2, you could try changing your DX version to 9 and see if that gets rid of it. To do that you need to edit my documents>BC2>settings.ini and change the line that says dxversion=auto(might say 11) to 9 or 10 and see if that helps.

i going to check that link that Llyr posted.i have changed the dx setting from auto to 11 then 9 also the latest directx.i have all the latest updates from ms and while removing the different driver versions with driver sweeper also in safe mode but it still crashes but was fine in xp.

one thing i forgot to add is when it crashes"bsod" on restart the Intel(R) 4 Series Chipset Processor to I/O Controller - 2E20 shows a fault in device manager and my graphic card disappears untill i re boot again.

I have a buddy who went from vista to 7 and he had bsod with a Q95XX constantly while gaming. While waiting for his new i5 setup, he found out that his overclock was not stable for 7. Once we went back to stock settings on his cpu it was fine.
