Yeah it would, but then you would have to code specifically in CUDA C, which isn't as versatile or multi-platform.

i only code in HTML & PHP.
All design is with Adobe master suite.

i mainly need good performance for multitasking, opening programs/files and switching between them all. i can't handle the stress involved with "this program has stopped responding" no good for my health!

i think vista overall took about 5 years off of my life expectancy...

true, but we also don't know what specific web design he's doing. If he's coding in Cuda C or Cuda C++ he can easily crunch a lot of information and figure out whats going on. It's pretty easy to move from C to C# (which is pretty common in web design situations as far as I know)

at my school we use a gt330, i believe, to code on top of the processor, and most of the stuff we do is then taken over to the web design department and they use it somehow

oops, didn't see you post this...

yeah then your gpu doesn't really matter very much...anything will work...Also if you limit the visual aspect of your OS, which I assume is Win7, then you can actually do a lot more and your gpu will matter even less...

yeah...its windows 7 pro 64 bit.
included in my total price!

i played alien vs predator with my old machine (poorly)
and was really expecting to be blown away with my new machine. was far from impressed. thats when i looked up the graphics card and realised its baseline!
i'd like a better one just so when i do play the odd game and i can really scare the ***** out of myself.

You should have no problems with that as long as you make sure you keep your PC clean

As for your signature now...are those speeds legit?!

I love that download...I wish I had some internet like that.

Anyway, as for a GPU upgrade that could play any game out there (for the occasion that you do play), I suggest either a cheap HD5770, HD5850, HD6850, or on the nVidia side, GTX450 or GTX460.

Best bang for your buck there, in the future.
