In SLI & Xfire, pci-e slots will become 8x/8x. Hope you're not letting that stopping you from buying the mobo. The difference between 8x/8x and 16x/16x is very, very minimal
Lol its MSI not DFI
Sorry but I'm ...Tryin' to understand

Quick question for you all.

I'm thinking of buying the GD55 but a review on Newegg says that he cannot fit his Ripjaws X on the first two slots with a Hyper 212+. Considering this is the setup I will be going, does anyone have any experience with this?

is there anyone with a GD65 mobo + i5 2500k and could you check cpuz core speeds after a normal reboot? Afterwards let the pc go into hibernation mode for about a minute and then start it up again and check cpuz again for core speeds? Are they also very unstable then?

I'm having this issue: http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...5-problem.html

maybe someone can help me?

I read your thread an am baffled.

You have only the one HDD? How full is it?

Explore C: and tell us how big your hyberfil.sys file is.

Have you downloaded and re-installed the MSI chipset drivers for the GD65?

If it's not related to your HDD, then I am going to place a $1 bet on your Windows installation. First let's answer the questions above.

Just had a 0124 BSOD. Guess running 4.8ghz on 1.365v was wishful thinking.

I have two internal hard drives, 1 x 2TB, and 1 x 1TB with a 500GB external. The OS was on the 2TB and I finally resolved the issue yesterday. When I lost my bootmgr, it also accidentally created a bootmgr for my 1TB hard drive as well. I erased the bootmgr from my 1TB drive and now it automatically boots into the right one. I believe it was just confused as there was two bootmgrs on two different drives, even though the OS was on the 2TB drive.

Thanks for the help though

I just started reading that running ram at my rated 1.65v will kill my cpu. Any truth to this?

Dunno, but my RAM is rated at 1.65v XMP and to do 933mhz it needs all of it.
Ivy Bridge coming out soon, and bulldozer....hope it holds out until then lol!!!

havent heard of this, and i seriously hope it's not true as alot of memory designed specifically for sandy bridge needs 1.65v to run at it's rated speed
