can plz tell me if theres any harm in disabling c-states. I am using a i7 2600k with the gd55. If i dont disable c-state and set it to no limit in bios I get random idle freezes.

No harm in that, I just don't think your CPU will downclock at idle without it.

So I setup my comp last night with the below stats. At this time I am using the OC Genie to do my overclocking until I am able to get everything up and running smooth.

One I click the OC Genie it puts it at a OC of 4.2 and temp of 57. I have 5 total fans on my case along with the 212. I want to confirm that using the OC Genie will only overclock it so much and it should be safe.

OC Genie will only OC to 4.2 and it's perfectly safe, although the voltage is pretty high.

I have a GD55 Board with a Core i5 2500k. Everything is ok but everytime I restart the PC, the board powered on, shutdown, powered on again then boot. Is it a problem ? I sometimes have infinite boot loop after doing some changes in Bios that i have to clear the cmos to boot up again. The changes I made for the bios weren't wrong because after clearing the cmos, i used the same settings then it boots. Can someone help me ? The Bios version is 1.B which is shipped with the board.

Set Internal PLL Overvoltage to auto. Should fix your restart -> boot problem. Regarding infinite boot loop, you probably just have to reducere the amount of OC retries. I suspect you just haven't waited it out.

Thank you I will try it, can you suggest me some options in the bios (what to enable, what to disable) ? My 2500k is currently running at 4.6Ghz with 1.3v, I also use torrent so I'm wondering how to lower that clock when I'm away...

Well. Updated bios to version 10.3 to see if the vdroop control function would work as it should. But, SURPRISE, still the same choices; Low vdroop or auto. And I wasnt able to sink my voltage or increase my oc at all without being unstable. Its a bit annoying that I cant get any higher...

Which SATA ports are the Intel ones? Just curious... couldn't find in manual and supposedly they offer slightly better speeds for SSDs.
