For what it's worth, the last time I got 4.6ghz stable at v1.325 was on bios 1.7. I can't get stable with 4.6 until I'm at 1.385 or so now. Still on B2 stepping, using Bios 1.91 at the moment.

For 4.8, i wasn't stable til 1.425, as 1.40 didn't cut it.

If you're 4.8 @ 1.35, consider yourself very lucky.

Hey guys, just a heads up:

A new beta UEFI version (1.10b1) has just been released.

Do not, I repeat, do not use it.

It has borked one board and I lost keyboard support in the UEFI with it. There's apparently a problem with it.


EDIT: Ok, 1.10b1 seems to work for me except the keyboard support, so if you're not using a keyboard that requires 2 USB cables like mine, feel free to update, although I won't guarantee that it's safe. Keyboards with only 1 USB cable work fine with 1.10b1.

Edit: Sorry man, I couldn't find anything that would do what you're looking for. I just recently was playing around on the wife's P55 BIOS, which is why I must have been thinking about the quick boot options, etc. If nobody here knows, I'm sure the crew at the MSI forums might. (Be advised, mentioning overclocking in any other forum than "overclocking" gets your thread moved!)

Anyone know if there will be any issues with these boards, a pair of ripjaws 1333 and a coolermaster v6? I don't have the board yet, but I think it says in the manual that you need to have ram on slot 1 for it to boot, and looking at the ripjaws and the v6, I'm not sure if everything will fit fine.

I have the CoolerMaster V6GT and ripjaws and I can tell you that it does block the first slot (have my memory in slots 2 & 4). When I first built the system I had some Corsair RAM that was low profile so my first boot was with the RAM in slots 1 & 3. However, when I got my new B3 from an RMA, I was able to boot without any problems using the ripjaws in 2 & 4.

Hey, please be careful with the 1.101b BIOS, when I tried to flash to it from UEFI, I got stuck at a black screen with a static cursor at the top left and the number '98' at the bottom right. The system won't go past that, I've tried to clear CMOS, unseat the CMOS battery, etc. I have a ticket open with MSI, but I'm feeling I may have to RMA this thing

Please be careful when flashing your BIOS, I suggest returning all settings to stock before you do it, and probably you should use the MSI Forum USB Flasher method. I think I may have avoided my situation by NOT using the UEFI flash technique.

I'm just wondering, is the MSI P67A-GD55 good enough for some light OC? What are the differences between the GD65 and GD55? The GD55 is in stock atm and i can get it for around $119 AR.
