When coming off of a load, the voltage would spike high briefly before coming back down. If this is going to kill this chip, then I do not want to keep this board.
edit: Just a while ago, the computer locked up forcing a hard restart. Four beeps and nothing on the screen is all that it would do. Resetting the cmos fixed it. I had reverted back to stock speeds on the cpu before this happened.
edit 2: The computer froze with no load, and I had loaded optimized defaults in the bios before. I did have speed spectrum disabled though.
I'm using the 1.10b3 BIOS as well, and see a definite difference between low and high vdroop. No load BSOD's usually mean your vcore is a hair low without the aid of LLC. (x124's are pretty common BSOD codes for this)
Oh, and yes - the beta BIOS are a hair high on voltages, but you'd have to seriously crank that vcore up to get load leveling to fry your chip imo. I've ran up to almost 1.6v during some testing, and lived to tell the tale.
(Intel won't say officially what the safe max vcore is, only 1.52v VID which is not the same thing.)
