MSI P67A-GD80/GD65/GD55/GD53 Owners Club/Discussion/Info Thread - Page 93

Hey ya'll, I have a question.

I know I have a lowly non-K 2500, but there seems to be something wrong with CPUID reporting.

At this moment, in the UEFI, my clock is set to a 41 multiplier and the UEFI shows it running at 4.1GHz. However, CPU-Z shows only 3.8GHz. Take a look at this screenie I just did for the GFLOPS thread.

I don't have a photo of the UEFI to show you, but it clearly says 4.1GHz...

Any input?

Edit: Everest doesn't read it right at all, by the way, so that is a no go.

Congratulations.

I have two quick comments to make. I think that there is a known issue regarding the Ripjaw RAM and the P67 Mobo. Also, unless you are planning on buying more RAM in the future, it's more efficient to us 4 x 2GB cards than it is to use 2 x 4GB cards, I think. I might be wrong on both counts though.

Don't quote me on it, but I'm not sure the 2500 can pass 3.8 GHz at all.

4x 2 GB has a negligible performance advantage that'll only be measurable in memory benchmarks. 2x 4 GB is better because of the upgrade possibility.

No special treatment for you, young man!
Fill out the form and BAM, you'll get added.

Also, why didn't you put my address as the shipping address?

Curious, then, that the UEFI shows it at 4.1GHz. I will have to take a photo of it later on for you.

The highest possible speed with 4 cores active is 3.8 GHz. With fewer active cores, you can get Turbo to boost the active cores.

please add me to the club ty

but anyway having a few issues when it comes to voltages on my gd55, not sure if its just my i72600k chip but im having to use a 1.360 vcore at minimum just to achieve a 4.5ghz OC, currently using the 1.A bios was previously using the 1.9 but had even higher vcore setting of 1.380

one more thing if i may ask but this is to anyone playing cod4 promod but since my new rig should be able to hold 250fps on lock im getting fps fluctuations on all maps, my fps keeps flickering from 250-245 on all maps where as with my old rig which wasnt suitable for gaming with higher end more intensive games i was able to get 250 stable on all maps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ty
