hello,

i have a wireless 360 gamepad, but i would like to have a second one to play with friends, is there any gamepad not from microsoft that gets recognised as one on the pc? (lots of games only take 360 gamepads)

Their might be a way to emulate a controller to appear as a 360 controller in windows. I'm not sure what controllers are supported but I know I did it with my PS3 controller.

I bought some cheap gamepad from Walmart or something a while back that was specifically for the PC. Logitech makes some pc gamepads I know. Any reason why you don't want to buy another xbox controller?

ive already tried it out. it does make my logitech appear as a 360 gamepad, as long as i dotn use my actual 360 gamepad, which defeats the purpose, ehich is to play local co-op with 2 gamepads.

so theres no third party 360 controllers?

I tried a cheap usb gamepad a while ago it wasn't worth the hassle. You can get the USB 360 controller online quite cheap, its the best option for playing hassle free.

There are very few (If any) 3rd party 360 controllers. Because of the fees Microsoft require hardware manufacturers to pay to use their wireless tech. There simply is no easy way to make money from them.

To be honest I would just shell out a little extra for an official 360 controller. The wireless receiver I assume you have will take up to 4 controllers. There are always plenty of cheap second hand pads on Ebay.

If money was no object then the Razer Onza would probably be the best option.
