Maybe I misunderstood your post but it sounds like you have an SSD in an array with mechanical drives?!

The only worthy software RAID implementation, in my opinion, is Linux mdraid. Windows doesn't really cut it (maybe with the exception of RAID 0 or 1).

Misunderstood,

C:\\ is SSD in AHCI mode.
D:\\ is 2 1TB drives in Software RAID.

Results are in, and they're err, intriguing.

Firstly the raid:

Seems pretty acceptable?

It's the SSD I'm worried about...

What's with the crazy peaks and troughs? Is this normal behaviour?

I've got NCQ enabled with RAIDXpert and the SB750 at 1.35v, which apparantly helps things along as it's pretty weak as southbridges go...

Thoughts?

Cheers

Onboard onboard! I have my raid0 setup onboard and has been working nicely, dont have to worry about software controlling my reads/writes i sleep better at night.
