Which WC Kit?

I am taking the dive into WC. I was gonna just get the H70 but it just doesnt seem worth the hassle. Here are the two im looking at..

XSPC RX360. I can't find a link for this kit online but read it was really good. And H20-220 Ultima XT

Can anyone recommend a case that will fit the radiator inside without much modding? thanks

+1

buy the 800D/ 700D if you want your rig to look kewl (they have bad airflow though)....

buy the HAF X if you want supreme airflow.

Or.... the NZXT Phantom

I recommend the Swiftech kit if you have the extra money. If not, the XSPC Rasa RX360 kit is an awesome buy for the money. The only downside is a shoddy pump. If you end up replacing the pump with a better one, you'll also have to replace the res. That's my only gripe with the XSPC kit.

As for cases, the 800/700D is great once you replace the stock fans.

Yeah money isn't an issue but I would prefer one of these for a starter kit as opposed to just buying parts separately. If I decide I want to upgrade parts later, would I see much of an improvement in temps? for example, if I change out the cpu block.

I would recommend Corsair 800D/700D.

You would only see 1c difference in temps if you swapped out either of the blocks that come in those kits.

I understand your hesitation toward buying a custom loop, but really.. a custom loop is the way to go. You'll get exactly what you want and nothing you don't want. The folks at OCN are really good with helping you pick stuff out too. If you run in to trouble, we can help you out during/after the install. Just think about a custom loop..

+1 to this.

If money really isn't an issue, you can ask for help from us here at OCN on setting up a custom loop.

We just need to know how much money you're gonna throw at this so we can start giving suggestions.

Well I am trying to decide between the 800D and HAF X now. I just watched a long ass review on the X and while I think it looks pretty ugly, it has some damn good features. As far as water cooling goes, I would say around $400. I'd need a block, rad, res, pump, hose, and what else? I also dont really care about cooling anything else such as the chipset or gpu. Just wanna do the CPU.
