The 700/800d gets a bum rap because of the completely terrible fans it comes with. If you swap those fans out with some good fans, it's totally fine.

For example, I did a HAF X build and an 800D build around the same time, so I decided to test the air delta inside both cases. The HAF X had 0c air delta (same temp. inside the middle of the case as it was outside the case) while the 800D with stock fans had a 3c delta. I then swapped the stock 800D fans out with some GT15s running at 1500rpm and the delta dropped to 0c in the middle of the case.

Rest assured that you got a great case with the 800D.
