Hi all.

I have a Acer with a broken screen. is it possible to send it back to Acer on the one year Warranty?
anyone that have tried something similar with Acer?

depends how its broken, dropped, hit or any user damage then no, fault like cutting out then yes

it was dropped.. but then i bought a new screen for it, but when i installed that the backlight died, dont know why. just hoped that there might be something i could do

you mean the inverter board or the light, if its the light their will be a picture on the screen but really dim

Well it doesn't hurt to try lmao...other than shipping costs.

There are numerous stuff I broke by accidents but RMA'ed successfully.

Well if i take a lamp i can see the picture on the screen, so its there. but the light in both the new and the old one is gone, and the light in the old one was working even after it broke.

Yes, I bought an Acer laptop, and I have a very bad habit of taking crap apart. So, I took the back cover of my laptop off and looked inside...and I put it back on, but I accidentally put a screw in the wrong hole. The screw was too long and it crushed a capacitor on the motherboard. I then proceeded to send it back to Acer without even trying to solder a cap back on. I got a brand new laptop back 2 weeks later.
