Samsung vibrant runs slow

Thread Starter
I've had my vibrant since the week of release. The first few days I had it, it ran fine, but lately it seems to freeze up a lot or take it's sweet old time to change screens. I get the box with the force close option all the time, even on samsung apps. Has anyone else had these problems, or does anyone know of a fix? The phone is not rooted.

are you running stock ROM or custom one?

By rom, I assume you mean the os? If so, I've made no changes to anything. Just some apps downloaded, but nothing else.

yup
i'm assumign you don't have any lagfixes or anything?

in that case you should really root and change your ROM
cause the stock 2.1 android+TW 3.0 launcher really lags up after some time

i suggest signing up on XDA and read up on ROM flashing and stuff

your vibrant will fly with custom ROM's

Your right, no lag fixes our anything like that installed.

As for xda, do I just search for that on google?

And thanks for the super quick responses!

Ok, so following along on XDA, I downloaded the update.zip, powered down, did the holding of the volume and power buttons, and am staring at the droid guy digging.... its been about 20 minutes, is this normal? or did I already muck it up. lol
