What should I do though? I honestly don't know if I should buy that EK kit, or build my own one.
The XSPC kit will perform better than the EK kit, despite what you think or have read.
Obviously building your own loop will perform better than any kit but this comes at a price. If you can afford to build your own kit I would advise you do it since it makes the loop more personal. You have the knowledge that you've put it together yourself and thought about each component rather than have them handed to you in a bundle.
If you're going to go for your own loop, trying to keep the budget as low as possible whilst still making it worthwhile would look something like:
WB: EK Supreme HF
Rad: Swiftech MCR320
Pump: MCR355 (or 350 if you want to go a little cheaper, 350 will be perfectly fine for a single-CPU loop however the 355 will give you more room for expansion in the future)
Reservoir: XSPC Bay Radiator or a Swiftech MicroRes (depending if you want the reservoir in a bay or in the case)
Tubing: 1/2" ID 3/4" OD. Good for beginners, won't kink and is easy to fit.
Without checking the prices in Euros directly, a rough estimation and a currency conversion equals around 250 Euros
. So, in my opinion, spend a little more and build a custom loop. It really is worthwhile.
