$1,200??? Go SB...You can get a good system for that kind of money. if your going to be gaming, stick with the 2500k and that alone will save $100

It's like $908 after MIR, so if you wanted you could even spend more on a better GPU

Or go with the same build and add a SSD for like $130

To pair a top-end i7 2600K with poor generic 1333 CL9 memory is inexcusable. Sandy Bridge = overclocking beast for overclockers' sakes, don't cheap out on the other parts and hold it back

And honestly, I think OP can do what he wants to do. Besides, AM3 isn't out of hope; there is in fact a direct upgrade path to Bulldozer (though it is motherboard first then CPU, rather than CPU drop-in to motherboard).

its all about user's choice



i have wanted to build a pc for sometime so well here i am
willing to take list rigs and tips too

(budget (1200) please when make'n the list)
