Thats sad man well whats the difference with the i5 2500k and the i7 950, reason i mention the the 950 is there doing a bundle offer over here (uk) at scan.co.uk for around the same price and i think that motherboard is dual x16 slots.

For gaming your probably better off with x16 x16 slots, I know people say its only a small % between x8 and x16 with current GPUs, but after 4Ghz there is pretty much no difference in gaming between the 2500k and the 950.

I know prices outside the USA can be dicey so you should go with your best budget option.

Yea i agree, i was hoping to sell what i have at the moment and put the extra funds forward. Ill prob go for the 950 with a good mobo, just choosing the ram now. And hopefully my gtx470's will benefit more

Yeah if your not on Aria.co.uk & Overclockers.co.uk mailing list then you need to. Some really great bundle deals at the mo. Personally I have been buying up 1366 bits on the cheap as people upgrade to SB. I have an i7 920, Rampage II Gene, Lian Li V354, Corsair HX650 & to top it all off a GTX580 for a build I am doing this weekend. The whole thing cost about £600 I'm upgrading from my sig rig so its atleast going in the right direction. Being a generation behind can be alot of fun.

It's all good.
Everyone will sell their 1366 System's when ivy bridge comes out
then wait 6 months or so and 1366 will be really cheap.
Then it's time to build some Folding Farms.

As far as performance I would say the next true bump we will see is the 2011 socket, 1356(note sure if it is still coming) would probably be an enthusiast SB. With better overclockability and K series chips.
Better overclockability? so SB i7-2600K @5ghz+ is not overclock enough?

Haha!!
