GT-AP15 Push/Pull on H50

Hi guys

Does anyone currently have GentleTyphoons (1850RPM) on their H50 cooler? If so did you notice a decent temperature drop? Right now I am just using the stock corsair fan and just another rand case fan for push/pull. I ordered 2x GentleTyphoons from newegg to hope for better temps. My temps in Linx push 80C after pass 11 .. always makes me a little nervous with that high of temps. Ambient room temp during tests is about 22C . Thanks!

You're gonna get blown by the performance/noise of the GT's. I can't help you though. But if you change your title to "GT-AP15 push/pull on H50", you'll get the answer you want a lot faster.

I had a push/pull with that setup when I had a 950 and to be honest, it was just ok. maybe a few degree drop. I switched to a Noctua nh-d14 and temps dropped 10 degrees. That's with shin etsu g751 thermal paste.

Oh yeah? Bummer was hoping for a more of a drop for $20 a pop times 2... oh well. Right now my H50 is mounted in the back of my case, just above the GPU. And below the rear exhaust fan. I have the Antec 1200 case. I wonder how much of a temp drop I would get if I mounted the cooler to the front of the case behind one of the hard drive bays (empty)? Hmmm

Hey, I'm currently using two CM Blademaster fans in Push/pull (90 cfm) on my h50. They lowered the temps a good 4 degrees Celsius for me over the stock Corsair fan. Along with that you might be hurting air flow through your rad if the two fans you're using run at different speeds.

Cool! Thanks Hope to gain some breathing room on my overclock. 4 degrees may very well do it. At the same time I may also try and mount the H50 to the front of my case instead of the back

Blade Masters are EPIC fans, I had better performance with only a minimal noise increase on my H50. I still use one to blow on my RAM when it's up at 2000+MHz CAS6/7 and 1.8v+ benching.

What about these fan ducts.. what are they called? Airbeam filters? They suppose to provide STRAIGHT airflow instead of blowing spread apart.
