90s?
Is your i7 870 running ridiculous volts?

I stay under 70c with my h50 at 1.28v.

I don't remember what voltage it was at exactly, maybe around 1.35v.

you already have h50 and you don't have problem with it, just use it instead of spending money on another cooler

If it was 1.35v in windows at load, then yea that is probably why it was running hot.

They're weird those hybrid all in one cooler things

Just stick a huge chunk of metal on it and blow air past it

My megahalems keeps my 1090t below 50C, with 1.448V through it; the D14 should knock a couple of degrees off that, but nothing spectacular

Some people do not like a huge chunk of metal hanging on the side of the mobo and covering it all up.
When I get IB I will probably get a huge chunk of metal with some high speed fans, these GT are dead silent but I want a little more power.

If I already had an h50 I'd put some real nice fans on there and call it a day. IIRC the h50 with a couple of quality fans is within 2-3c of a d 14.
