yeah, thts why i go for the X method cus when the headsink pushes down on it then it smooths out and covers nearly the whole cpu and keeps it nice and coool

I have the Fractal R2 right now. I only have the two fans given, and I use them as front intakes. The CPU fan faces the rear to push air out.
Should I get more fans?

What about an extra intake as well? There's an intake at the bottom of the case.

Thanks for your help!

I'll go get 2 slip streams and some AS5 now.
I'll post temps on here after more testing.

High 50s is really hot for the i5 2500k? Mine at stock full load is running 62-65. Can this be the reason my computer may lock up or act weird if I am folding for an hour or so?

Yes that is a verry very plausibly awnser u need to either put new thermal paste on/ new aftermarked heatsink, more case fans to suck hot air out

dont fold unless ur not using the computer or untill the temps are looower

Ok. Hopefully I didn't damage the cpu already lol

It locks up when I am folding and not using the computer. HDD light stays on which I heard could be overheating
