Did I miss anything?

Thread Starter
Ok, I'm new to the site, so please feel free to flame and verbally abuse me to the point of tears if I say something stupid

I have an Asus M4A785-M mobo with the 9950 BE and 4GB of Corsair Dom.

CPU freq: 3117.65 MHz (215.01 * 14.5)
CPU voltage: 1.425
RAM Speed : 573.4 MHz (3:8) @ 5-7-7-24

My HT and NB are set to auto

I'm also using one of those Zalman air coolers (you know, the ones that second as a home defense weapon when used properly)

If I increase my clock or my multi anymore, it becomes unstable.

What else can I do to speed this up?

Nothing. You are sitting right at the average OC for that chip.

From this point on, increasing the voltage will allow very little speed gains.

If you upgrade to a motherboard with ACC you may be able to get some extra MHz out of it, but it would not be worth it.

this, or a better cooler + moar volts might get you to 3.5... that mobo idk about tho. make sure you set the HT and NB to be around 2000, doesn't like higher very much

I'd raise the CPU/NB Freq as high as possible while maintaining the HT Link Speed at 2000MHz.

I own 2 of those boards, one has a PH II 555 x2 BE at 4043MHz and NB Freq at 2838MHz runs great and very fast. Feel free to PM me if you'd like any more info.

It is a budget board, but you can OC fairly well on it but you may need to add some Mosfet cooling (have a few pics in my gallery yet under the budget board system)

By the way, this board does have ACC.

That would be a 900 Mhz OC out of a Phenom I. It has been done before, but I wouldn't bet a single penny on it.

OP, if you want any more performance gains, even a Phenom II x2 would be an awesome and cheap upgrade for you.

I went from an 8750 to a 550 and I was blown away by the speed increase.
