Hey guys,

So I got a new USB hub since I got a USB sound card (I have a laptop). I only have two USB ports on my laptop, so I have everything but the sound card through the hub (laptop cooler, Logitech G5 mouse, and my printer). My mouse lags sometimes, mostly when loading things or when I am clicking. I am guessing that lowering the polling rate will help? Would it?

The USB hub is powered. My laptop has a 1394 port, an eSATA port, HDMI, and a serial port. Would it be possible to make one of those a USB port? The cooler works fine just with the power from the hub, and the printer only is used every once and a while. If I could use one of those for either the mouse or hub, would it improve anything?

Thanks in advance!
