SLI GTX 460's 266.35 Beta Drivers, haven't updated yet. Not maxing them out but I don't think I'd call that low gpu usage.

With COD BO initially there was low GPU usage for many, but that has been patched. It isn't because of Fermi any longer. To the OP, we have similar motherboards, and actually similar setups. If you go to the power management tab in your bios and disable HPET you should see a substantial increase in performance.

That's atrocious

Really how is the gameplay?
Going by that usage graph, seems like playability is all over the place.

My HPET was enabled. I disabled it and it did nothing for me. Still getting %20 usage on both my cards, and its not just Black Ops. Its ALL of my games, some games get higher usages some get lower. But I have yet to play a game with both my GPU's usages maxed(which I know sounds bad, but its kind of useless having both these cards when there not even being used to there potential). The only time I've seen them maxed is when running the Heaven Benchmark(DX10) and FurMark(multi-card).

gee thanks....

Game play is fine. Low FPS dips are when I went into munu area when I died. Might look a little worse than it could because I dropped AB's polling rate and AA, AF were at 1X... Maybe I have a problem and didn't realize it. Gameplay is great so I haven't had cause to give it much thought until I saw this thread. Nice now it's going to drive me nuts and I'll have to spend a couple hours messing with it. I should find a home repair forum or something to hang out at instead....

Hey guys, sorry to bump an old thread. Better then starting a new one I suppose. But I found some weird stuff going on with my video cards.

Card one is model number 896.P3.1255(vanilla 260 Core 216)
Card two is model number 896.P3.1257(Superclocked 260 Core 216)

The weird thing is is that card two's warranty sticker says its a vanilla 260(1255), but the tiny little model number sticker says its a Superclocked 260(1257). I check my Newegg account and I for sure paid for a vanilla 260, even the box is for a vanilla 260. But I received a Superclocked one.

Theres a tiny sticker with the bios versions on it, card one(vanilla) is bios version: 62.00.44.00.50 and card two(superclocked) is 62.00.38.50.

Would this be causing said issues in my original post?

I can't imagine that making any difference at all. Most of the Superclocked cards I've seen are just a small overclock.

On my atrocious graph above I got that figured out. Apparently detaching AB does strange things. . Still don't have quite as straight a line as grunion but it's a whole lot better.
