sata II or sata III

Thread Starter
This will be my first experience with SSD's. I looking to get a pair to run in raid 0 for windows install and program files. I already have (2) 1TB drives in raid 1 for storage. here's what i'm looking at:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148361

Pros: sata III, very fast read speeds up to 355MB/s
cons: slow write speeds up to 75MB/s

Or,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231375

pros:fast write speed up to 275MB/s
cons: sata II (not necessarily a con, just comparing it to to the crucial) and slower write speeds up to 285MB/s (again not bad but slower than the crucial)

What do you guys think? any other suggestions are welcome.

I hear write speeds are not as important as read speeds.

No. Mines has been running flawlessly since launch. The only thing is sometimes it doesnt achieve the advertised speeds in HDD/SDD benchmarks. I really want a Sandforce SDD.

sandforce gets many more IOPS than other controllers, especially with 4K writes.

any sandforce is fine. i'll list some and they all perform within 1% of eachother so just look for the best priced one

http://diskcompare.com/

i recommend the website above. you can compare all sandforce drive prices.

Mushkin Callisto Deluxe
Gskill Phoenix (Pro?)
Vertex 2
Agility 2 - SF-1200 but i think the firmware is different
Force
OCZ Onyx
A-DATA S599
Patriot Inferno

any of these drives are fine.
