What about a CPU heatsink/fan?

Will the GTX460 fit in the A300 case? I haven't measured that card before, so I don't know, but it is important to find out.

There have been times when I've seen the Antec 900 cheaper than the 300. That may help.

To help you stay on budget, be sure to buy from reputable online vendors where you don't have to pay for tax or shipping.

Looks good i would though get higher MHz ram. I personally would like to see 1600mhz such as this kit.

You should switch out the RAM with a faster kit (preferably 1333MHz or higher) of 4GB. 8GB is really overkill, and 4GB is plenty for gaming.

You don't need 8GB of ram so get this kit:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231430

Use this (HARDOCP112C) promo Code and get this HD:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-185-_-Product

Get this PSU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-010-_-Product

I just saved you $65 with much better parts.

If you use this (LIANNEWYEAR20) promo code you get this Lian Li case for around the same price of the Antec:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112238

I also wanted to remind you about combos:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.575884

^That saves you $60 plus you get a game for free

Also, that board is supposedly "MEH" at best. I am currently researching which board to grab for my new build.

My friend wants to just try overclocking slightly with the stock heatsink/fan and then if he wants to overclock it more than what we can get with that then he'll order a different one.

Oh hmm I would assume so but I don't own any Antec cases. I'll see if I can check the measurements unless someone else has already fit a larger card into one.

Ehe currently on Newegg it's almost double the price. :S

No tax on Newegg since I am shipping to New York, and shipping cost is pretty cheap as well.

Yes I wasn't that sure about it but it seemed like a popular choice... Any suggestions for a different one?

Ah I'm afraid he insists on 1.5TB vs the 1TB, even if it costs more. Would you suggest something other than the Seagate 1.5TB though?

460 GTXs fit in an Antec 300 just fine.

Might I recommend the GTX460 Hawk. Slightly faster factory clocks than the evga with a better cooler imo.

It's on sale atm for $159.99 after rebate with 2 free games.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have always bought eVGA for their excellent support but I've heard it isn't what it used to be anymore so I'll try MSI.

Ugh the Motherboard has gone out of stock on Newegg. :/ Any suggestions for alternate boards or should I try to order the Motherboard from somewhere else?

I updated the initial post with the 'current' parts I'll be ordering. I'm about $50 underbudget, should I use that $50 to go from 4 GB to 8 GB of RAM? Or is there something better I can get for the money?
