Are you using both 8-pin connectors while OC'ing? On page 12 of the manual, it recommends to do so. If you're not using both connectors, this can be a possible result of failing Prime95...maybe

From what I can gather, using both 8-pin connectors is for extreme clocks.

Not to mention, many others with other mobos are having the P95 issue as well. I'm not saying it couldn't be the issue, but this is what makes the most sense to me so far:

Added new youtube video found in post #2.

I really like this video, good approach to getting to 5Ghz.

I wasn't able to use PLL 1.70, I had to use 1.75. Also, I left the power options on energy efficient for my 24/7 clock which is still in progress, but looks great so far.

I can pass 1hr prime small FTTs and 25 linx passes on max mem at 4.8Ghz with 1.414V on load. Machine uses ~110W while running linx (AVX) and idles at a beautiful 6W (!)

I didn't think the two 8pin power connectors were nessacary. Think I could plug a 4pin into the secondary one? My PSU has a hardwired 8pin and a hardwired 4, be pretty cool if I could put the 4 to work.

But then again I would have to buy a 4pin extension, not really worth it IMO

I tihnk plugging a 4pin connector into an 8-pin power connector would be a really really really really bad idea.
