i guess i'm just going to run 1.65v, seems ridiculously tho, considering it's rated at 1.5v, but oh well
that's frustrating. Sorry man, I'm out of ideas there. New kit perhaps ?

maybe new kit in the future. not sure i really need it, 1.65v is still safe right?

the problem is, i should have planned my tubing a bit better, forgot to route it so it doesnt block the ram.. so without draining/redoing my entire loop, i need to find some RAM thats the same height as the ripjaws

i wonder how tall the ripjaws X are compared to the normal ripjaws

heres a pic before i put the ram in... it barely clears the tube

1.65V is probably fine. Time will tell there. I'm just using my experience so far with the SB. I was able to clock my 2600K higher with less Vcore once I got my corsair 1.5V kit. The mushkin kit I had needed 1.65V.

that sounds logical enough

the vengeance seems too tall though... hmm i think i'll order the ripjaws X and see if it'll fit

these look ok?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-449-_-Product

i know they got a cas 6 1.5v 1600 set but i need red to match the mobo (lol)

im assuming the ones linked above, although 1.6v 2133, will clock to cas 6 1600 1.5v anyway, hopefully

also ive been reading that speed makes a bigger difference than timings when it comes to sandy bridge

what do you guys think?

Get the ones you linked man. Those are way faster than mine..
Even at Cas 9.. Dont you dare run those at 1600 mhz tho..
On Intel Speed > Latency. Those 2133 mhz sticks at Cas 9 should blow a Cas 6 1600 mhz kit out of the water.. Good choice. Get them and run them
Might even get them to run some Cas 8 settings with a bit more voltage
