Is there any easy way to save a profile/template to a usb drive. If there's an easy way to post the settings I'll do it. I'm running a little hot in my testing at 4.6ghz. Peak core temps are 73/83/82/78 after running intels burn test on max to completion and currently with OCCT running for 15m. The cores are at 67/71/69/69 under load from OCCT currently(each dipping as far as 6 down but roughly peaking at those numbers). I do have the ram at 1.65v with all settings on auto, cpu fixed at 1.34v, c1e off, turbo enabled set to 46 on all cores, (disabled)fixed at 46, HT on, VT-d on, Virtualization on, cpu pll 1.75.

I'll try to get better numbers up in my next post. I'm going to sleep. Any advice.

Hello,
I am happy I bit the bullet and got this board. Paired up with a 2500k, i am very happy. Updated to the 121 bios and am loving every bit of it. I decided to forgo a huge over clock right now even though I was able to be prime stable for 45 minutes @ 5GHz $ 1.4 vcore. I shut down because I had to go out and didn't like the 70c+ temps. I decided to just go for 4GHz and lower voltage. At this moment I have been prime stable for 3 hours @ 4ghz upping the turbo boost multipliers. Have it set to 4.3, 4.2, 4.1 , 4.0. Best part i am am able to run this at 1.092 vcore with mac tmeps of 44c. This board is great. From biostar GPU(which i think is a horrible program that changes settings without asking) cpu is pulling 55-60w.
The one feature i cant get working is bio remote. I put in my ip address and it doesn't work. Any ideas on this part? I could always use gmote or something but this app looks really cool.
I tested on a Galaxy S, iPad and iPod touch. No go on any of them.

Has anyone figured out the CPU fan speed control yet? I've been playing around with it for 30 minutes and it seems it only does either minimum fan speed or max fan speed... but nothing in between. When a fan goes from 700 rpm to 1900 in less than a second it sounds a bit dishartening, especially when it happens 5-8 times every minute.

Nope, still trying to figure it out myself. Right now I'm at 39,40,5,15 and that still does what you describe, but not as often.

New BIOS, new Memory Compatibility improvement claimed here:

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...5&postcount=69

I'll try it out later today.

EDIT: If you take a look at the latest pictures in that thread, he's running all 4 dimm slots populated with 2 different kits at 5.0GHz !!!! wow.

That's impressive. I'm excited for the new BIOS but don't have time to test ATM. Looking forward to push my 1600 cl9 to 1866 cl9/cl8.

I just flashed the BIOS. ******* bull**** mem 2T STILL doesn't work. I'm cheesed. It's not even the BIOS as it's clearly running 2t at 2133 in that screenshot. I don't even know what could be the reason, this is my first Intel system =S

It seems my memory only wants to go 2t with the first beta bios that enabled internal PLL v override. The only reason I care so much is my mem is stock 2t. Saves me from having to pump 0.02v more through my rams.

Hmmm

yea i realized my memory is rated 9-9-9-24 2N

but it wont let me manually change it to 2T

so i'm at 9-9-9-24 1T and thats likely why i need so much dram voltage to get it stable
post #140 of 752
I managed to get it stable (I have same rams as you) at 1600 9-9-9-24 1t at 1.596v (set 1.614v in bios) try that. VCCIO on auto sets it to 1.1 and it's 8 hours blend stable.

I'm gonna settle for this as my 24/7 OC, it's a shame tho as this chip can do 5 Ghz at 1.43 but it runs significantly hotter than my old 2500k. Tried reseating etc but 77c @ load is unacceptable.
