Major: After a BSOD, on the windows recovery page when windows 7 asks if you want to boot to safe mode or boot windows normally, the keyboard is not functional (USB). Have to wait the full 30 seconds, once in windows, keyboard works ok. Luckily "start windows normally" is the default choice, otherwise I'd be stuck with whatever the default choice was.

Still to be fixed:

Other mfgrs. allow two things that we need for OC'ing, one is the ability to lower the BCLK below 100, the other is the ability to lower CPU PLL below 1.700 (some OC'ers report using 1.55 with success).

Also, I'd love to understand how this happens:

BIOS BCLK: 10000 - CPU-Z BCLK: 100.1
BIOS BCLK: 10010 - CPU-Z BCLK: 100.0

Yes, raising BCLK in BIOS by one notch actually lowers the BCLK shown in CPU-Z.

Fun stuff. :-)
I haven't tried the new bios yet. I just saw it my email after I got home from work, and thought I'd let you guys know.

I experienced the loss of USB keyboard function on earlier bios releases, so I'm interested if it will happen on my board.

Despite some glitches on this board, it seems to have less weird crap then many of the other P67 boards on the market. Actually, I've had several people tell me that the bios on most Asus 1155 boards is awful for various reasons.

Agreed, still the best value out there IMHO. I had a GB UD4 on Jan 9th and after a week, returned it to MC for the Biostar. :-) Just trying to get this BIOS situation squared away, Biostar is still the least buggy from what I've seen but I'm trying to help them make it perfect. :-)

Thanks for being the conduit to support ! Much appreciated.

Just set up f307. I'm getting the same problem with the USB keyboard as you at startup. This is not only a problem for BSOD situations, but for people with dual boot systems. I had to pull out an old PS2 keyboard for this. I'm gonna report this issue to the rep tonight.

You are very welcome. Always happy to help, and our feedback does make a difference in future bios revisions.

Gotta hand it to this rep and Biostar in general. They seem really responsive to feedback.

Oh snap, that's awesome, I was looking for a way to get bclk as close to 100 as possible, +1!

Hello guys, I need your help. I use this Board since day One. Today I switched from Air to watercooling. Together with My budy we switched the cooler. I tried to start the system, but it doesen't work. I use 4 RAM sticks usually. I tried to start with 1 Stick and it works. I use the same settings as before the cooler switch. Now my System starts with any of my RAM sticks when I use the 1. red or 1. white Slot, but I can not use more than 1 RAM Stick or the system doesn't start.

Is it necessary to use both red slots first, if I want to use more than 1 Stick? Maybe the 2. red slot is defect, so I can not use the other white slots together with the First Red Slot.

I hope everybody understand my Problem and have an idea.

I too am interested in CPU PLL below 1.7v as it may allow some of us to lower voltage needed for stability.

It's got the fix for the command rate issue, and LLC seems to be much better (tighter) but it's got some downfalls too. Not being able to use the USB keyboard after post and before OS starts is really annoying. Profiles are gone. Also, still no improvement on some of the things needed: lower bclk, lower cpu pll, disable spread spectrum.

Mixed bag really, I'll email it to whoemever want's it, just PM me.

First, please fill in your system details. No idea what exactly you are running.

For dual channel, you can use both red slots or both white. I've had better success with the red. Have you updated the BIOS on the board ? Loaded the XMP profile of your RAM ? You'll need to provide alot more information before we can help you.

Welcome.
