+1

I cant wait to test this.

[edit] hmm, lowering CPU PLL just by itself from 1.7v to 1.6v did not seem to decrease temps, am now trying to lower my vcore for 5 ghz [/edit]

This BIOS is awesome...

Hey did any of you guys try CPU PLL 1.55v yet? I'm chillin at 1.6v CPU PLL right now doesn't seem to bother my 2500k at all.

I think all they did to LLC was that if u set a certain core voltage, let's say 1.4v + LLC (+0.05v) in BIOS, you actually get 1.45v at load so it's just a much better indication of what voltage you actually get, making it more user friendly.

Much more to test!

Thanks for whoever listened to the community for this BIOS

Hmm, say I have:

PLL Voltage Override: Disabled

Does that mean that it ignores what I set under:

CPU PLL : 1.6v

Me too. I gotta stop taking stabs in the dark and start from scratch again tho. As Scorpion said, seems like LLC is much better behaved on this one.

@CPU PLL 1.55: that shows up in red in BIOS, I'm scurred.

I've wondered about that. I have it off right now too. I've noticed the lower the CPU PLL is set, the lower the max vcore under load, I.E.:

VCORE 1.37 - CPU PLL 1.700 - max vcore on load 1.428
VCORE 1.37 - CPU PLL 1.650 - max vcore on load 1.416

Curious, general question regarding these types of motherboards but since I'm interested in this one the most...

What's the purpose of dual 8pin power connectors? Also, for example my PSU has a 4+4 and an 8pin connector, can I use both without problems or must I use some adapter?

I tried 1.55v cpu PLL for like 10 minutes of prime95 blend, seemed alright but I went back up to 1.6v cause like you said, anything under that is red... worries me =)

I don't think CPU PLL undervolting affects temps for me but I am currently testing 1.43v (-0.02v lower than my 24/7 OC) combined with CPU PLL 1.6v.

I think my choice for this testing tonight will consist of:
-2 to 3 hours of Black Ops
-8 hours of prime95 blend test overnight

Why? Back in January I had a 4 hour Prime95 blend stable OC crash in Black Ops, needed more vcore, surprisingly! =D

[edit] Black Ops played just fine about an hour and a half at lowered voltage, but that's no indication of stability, it's currently Prime95 Blend testing overnight, I wish you all luck with your testing.

I'd like to thank everyone that made this BIOS possible as a few suggestions/bug fixes in this topic were included in F308 (command rate bug fixed, C0 power state limit is now default, lower CPU PLL available).

You only need to use one of the 8 pin connectors, plug in your 4+4 into one of them. Any one. Both 8 pin cpu power connectors are only for extreme overclocking, I run a rock solid OC using just one of the 8 pins.
