Will do. Koven are those Ripjaw X 2133? If so, is loading the XMP profile stable or did you have to tweak it?

1.6v cpu pll + 1.43v core (likely the vcore is the reason) produced a BSOD 101 during an attempt at an 8 hour blend test. It actually failed at the 7 hour and 55 minute mark lol, test was started at 3:08 AM, failed at 11:03.

I think I'm just gonna go back to my 24/7 OC @ 1.45v 1.7v PLL to get some gaming done I might try 1.44vcore + 1.6v PLL later.

Do the most of you use a fixed vcore or the automatic/offset Vcore with c1 an steed step? I like the idea to get a lower vcore if its not necessary to give it the full power. But I have the problem that in most cases the CPU BSOD came not in full load, its BSOD when it get up and down with the speed and the vcore. Maybe when I am surfing.

But I don´t want to get the CPU a high voltage the hole time.

speedstep + offset vcore is the way to go, imo
post #468 of 752
But do you have no problems with the up and down with it? I think the Problem is, the cpu goes down to 1600MHz together with the vcore. All is fine, then you do a little thing (maybe surfing or start watching a movie) the speed rise up to the max (maybe 4,7GHz), but not with the full vcore it would use if you have a game or prime95. This is all the time, speed up, down, Vcore up down und differnt steps. And then its BSOD.

The thing I do is: give more offset+ and hope lowest possible vcore is higher as the time before and its not BSOD in idle. But then you have more vcore in full-power and you don´t even need it.

I hope you understand what I mean.

Offset puts too much volts through my 2500k when im browsing the web. I'm serious, it's 1.45 at load, with offset i browse websites at almost 1.5v. Screw that lol. I'm into the whole fixed voltage + LLC thing

I do like the idea of idling at under 1 volt with offset tho. I wish we could have the best of both worlds

But in the 1. week after the sandy bridge release you could read that a permanent vcore over 1,37/1,4Volt damages the CPU in a real short time. Every overclocking with a high voltages does this, but in the past, the CPU would not live 10 years, just only 5-7 years. And no overclocker use his CPU that long, that was ok. But I don´t want an migrated CPU after a few weeks or month. I like the idea of the stepping and I have a very low voltage while I am surfing the most time. I think that is my problem. In this little moment the CPU gets up at your max Speed without the necessary voltage, its BSOD.
