From all the pictures I've found from retailers, it seems like the RAM slots are a different shade of red as the PCIE slots.

Can someone confirm this?
They sure look the same to me.

My cam is wack but yeah.. The same

Thank you, kind sir!

Do they look red or orange in person?

I'm curious because I plan to use this set of RAM with it.

And I want them to match.

I just received my TP67XE today and I have a few questions. bare with me though this is my first ever computer build.

- I have 2 sticks of g.skill ripjaw x and does it matter which slots i put them in? either the 2 red slots or the 2 white slots.

- whats the difference between the sata2 and the sata3 ports? I only have a samsung f3 1tb and a asus 24x dvd/cs burner. which should i connect these to?

- super noob ? but how exactly do I connect power the my hdd and cd drive? i Believe the board came with one hdd/cd drive connector to a 4 min molex?

Use any of the red ones for the RAM.

SATA3 is for SSDs only and since you're using the conventional hard DISK then use SATA2 for both devices.

I think you might be referring to a SATA power connector. It's better to use the SATA power connectors from your PSU rather than using the molex converter. Connect those

Oh i have another question. since this board only has 5 sata ports total, say my sata2 ports are all filled up could I connect like another cd/dvd drive to the sata3 ports?
Buy a esata to sata cable and you got another port if you can figure out how to snake it inside your case.

Thats what I did.

And yes, you can use any device you want on the sata3 ports including dvd drives and such.

I recently started to get BSOD 101 (up vcore) during light load (browsing websites) from an overclock that has recently been tested with 12 hours prime95 blend without problems. A month and a half ago it also passed 50 runs of LinX with AVX.

What could be the cause of this?

Settings
LLC Enabled
Fixed Turbo 50x
1.45v load, 1.39v idle
Custom power settings (c3=disabled,c6=enabled,max pwrstate c0)
C1E=Disabled
CPU PLL 1.7v

And also, my computer goes to sleep during idle, would this have a negative impact on stability?
