Reset CMOS? Any advice would be helpful thanks
try clearing/reset your cmos by short out the jumper 2 and 3 or 1 and 2 which ever, read the manuel

My chip also require 1.45 to reach 4.7 stable. Maybe its the board.

Im really starting to get sick of this boards super high overshoot. I've seen overshoot in cpuz while gaming that is just mind boggling.

All bios version overshoot up to 0.06 volts, but 221 seems to usually keep it to 0.36.

So when I play Resident Evil 5 at 4.5ghz with voltage never going high than 1.392 in Prime95, the voltage will randomly shoot up beyond 1.392, all the way up to 1.452.

Running fixed voltage prevents this, but there is no way im running fixed voltage when offset is so much better for when idle, which is 90 percent of the time.

If Biostar fixed overshoot problem with vcore, I would be happy with this board and have no outstanding complaints against it.

yeah the offeset is pretty bad on TP67XE.

I've had 0.07v vdroop and I've been on fixed voltage and fixed multi since.

Luckily the fixed voltage is very stable.

Hi guys..
thanks for this thread I have succesfully oc'ed my rig 24/7 stable at 4.5 Ghz
I reckon the voltage needed is higher than other P67 mobo or maybe it's just my settings. Once again thanks!

Oh, and if anyone is interested in installing OSX and Win 7 together with this motherboard, i have written a guide here. Pardon the direct translation, but I hope the meaning is quite clear. But please ignore if you're not interested

Thank you again for helping me with my OC

Hey guys,

Another TP67XE user here .
I'm currently trying to find the max multi on my 2500K. For the moment 50x @ 1.512 seems the best I can do.
Anyway, I've been reading reports that lowering the base clock a notch or two sometimes helps raising the multiplier one more step.
That's why I want to flash back to bios F308, because you can set the bclk to 95 MHz. Now I'm wondering, is this bios for B2 or B3 boards, or doesn't it make a difference?

Also how can I flash it without using the windows tool from the Biostar site? I've been looking around in the bios but there are no options to do so there.
Maybe press a F-key during POST? If so; which one?

Thanks!

Edit: Okay, so I figured out the BIO-Flasher thing and flashed the F308 bios. Apperently it works on B3 boards . Only thing is that I can't set the Bclk lower than 99.3
So that's a pity.
Anyone tried to lower their bclk and experienced the same problem?

Yeah that's as low as she goes. All bios's work on b2 and b3 boards. Not like gigabyte where they use it as an excuse for a new revision

Hehe ok,
Well that's just too bad. Wasn't able to boot at 51x although it did sorta POST now.
Guess I'll just have too keep an eye open for any used 2500K's to see if they are better overclockers.
For reference: this chip does 4.5 GHz at 1.344-1.356 Prime/LinX stable and 4.7GHz needs 1.404-1.416 vcore.

Request voltage in bios is 1.260, so it's safe to say that this isn't one of Intel's best 2500K's

The f308 BIOS is not that stable for me, it BSOD'd on my 24/7 OC that is stable on the latest BIOS (f527). I don't know why..

ok, i am trying to get my vcore down some....at 4.5 i have to have 1.351 fixed voltage with LLC enabled which pushes it up to 1.38 gaming and 1.4 IBT/linx....

i lowered the PLL hoping that i could get a notch down in vcore but NOPE!.

any tips or info on the settings with this board would be awesome.....if nothing, then i guess i will drop back down to 4.2 where i could use 1.29 vcore.
