Biostar TP67XE motherboard discussion thread (w/template) - Page 63

Hey, I'm a TP67XE (B3) owner now. I finished building my first rig and installed Win7 Pro 64-bit yesterday morning.

I just checked my current BIOS version and I think it is F221 and the build was from February 2011. Which version should I get? F308 as mentioned in the first post or F527 the latest? Oh, how exactly do I install/flash BIOS? Do I use some utility on the CD (I don't have the Internet fed to the rig yet)?

I never overclocked before and would like some guidelines for a stable 24/7 OC. I'm using an I7 2600K and G.Skill 1600 4x4GB.

Hi there. I have the same version. I flashed to the new one with the newer mouse-based GUI but it wasn't that great and it was harder to navigate imo. It also had trouble applying my settings as far as core multi and vcore. Just my $0.02.

With F221, I am able to hit 5ghz @ 1.41vcore (1.46 actual) 24/7 with temps going to 83c under full load when priming. feelsgoodman.jpg

It's a hard bridge and it should do as long as the bridge fits those cards

Hey guys. I finished building my new rig last night and it's running great so far. I must say, for the price I paid, this board has a lot of bang for the buck and cool features (I love the LED error code/thermometer). Haven't even attempted to overclock yet, but from reading about this board on the net, it should be a great experience.

I just have a question about overclocking. Let's say I want to get my CPU to 4.0GHz and above, would overclocking my RAM to 1600MHz help? This is the RAM I have, because it was on the compatibility list on the Biostar website: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo.

Would help performance, not stability if you do it wrong
