Biostar TP67XE motherboard discussion thread (w/template) - Page 65

I have this TP67XE (B3, latest BIOS) motherboard. I only have a "single" 5770 HD and CPUZ is showing that my PCIex16 (slot) closest to the CPU is running x8 instead of x16 (I'm running single, NOT CF).

How can I run it at x16 instead of x8:

My addon cards setup is as follow:
1 x White PCIEx16 slot is occupied by my single 5770HD
2 x PCIex1 are both unocupied
1 x Red PCIex16 slot is occupied by my 3Ware 9650SE-4LPML (this hardware RAID is x4)
1 of 2 PCI slot is occupied by my Creative XtremeMusic SB0460 PCI (last PCI slot)

Notes to consider:
~ pre SP1 and post SP1 of 7 have the same results
~ latest BIOS loaded
~ latest ATI, 3Ware, Xtrememusic drivers are also used

Is my board defective? Should I initiate an RMA from BIOSTAR?

Those TP67XE owners who also used discreet audio cards (PCI or PCIe), care to chime in with your experience. Refer to your CPUz readings please.

I have lost much sleep on this it's driving me medieval!

How is everyone liking their TP67XE?

It made my short list! Looks like a mean piece of steel.

Does anyone know what the error code 30 means? My mobo boots up with that code, shuts down, and reboots again in a loop.

Never mind, I found out the problem. One of the DIMM slots got damaged when I was screwing in my CPU heatsink

the PWM on this board....any ideas if 200hz is doable 24/7 without running into issues?

same with phase control...if i put this at full on, does that increase idle temps any?

Well. I finally got my system up and running and I would like to thank you guys for all the information you have posted here!

I set my system up per post #606 for the 4.7ghz and it works great so far. I have run prime for 20mins and it never went above 72°C

I cant wait to start messing with things and make it just that much faster.

Edit: Prime95 Small FFT for a little over an hour last night and was still going strong.

Cool. Yeah, I get around the same load temp. Just curious, what are your idle temps like? Mine are upper 30s to lower 40s on the cores.

My idle is in the upper 30's as well, Core #2 is at 37° while the other 3 run at 31/32°

I just disabled SMART Fan control and I'm getting much better idle temps. My hottest core hits around 39-40 now and doesn't go any higher
