Should be announced mid next month, that's what I'm waiting for, my 3gs will hold till then!
Hm.. maybe I should wait then.

Why do you say that it will be announced next month? Is there a conference or something I should be looking out for?

Thanks!

I would assume a similar price point. Nobody really knows though. Perhaps as high as $600.

Mobile World Congress is next month in Barcelona. All the big news comes from there. We will probably see some pricing and availability information there, in addition to new phones.

I would say the Galaxy S (Captivate) and the Sony Xperia X10. Having used both the X10 has a better UI and Does not have the Lag issues the Captivate suffers from. The captivate is better once you root it and such.

Anyone hear any news about this one?
http://www.htc.com/us/products/inspire-att

How's it supposed to compare against the Atrix?

Thanks again guys, you've been a tremendous help.

It looks like a AT&T version of the Incredible. But AT&T isn't slated to get "4G" until mid this year, so I'd say it would be out somewhere between May-August.

I know it's completely your choice, but I have to be very, very blunt.

Do not, I repeat, NOT, get an Android phone.

I currently have a Motorola Milestone, it is locked down and has not even been updated to Android 2.2. The locked down part does not affect the majority of android phones though, but the 2nd part does. Look at all the high end devices being left out in the rain, no updates or support for them anymore. The Motorola Droid/Milestone, remember that? I hate the glitches on this thing. Android is becoming more and more of a generic OS instead of being upgraded, all phones should be updated to the newest OS, just like Apple (I know, different brands).

Go the right way, get a Windows Phone 7 Mobile. They have Xbox Live on them and every single phone that comes out is guarenteed to be good. They have minimum specs, such as a screen as good as an iPhone (touch part), sometimes better than Retina (Omnia 7 - my opinion), and just generally the best choice apart from Apple.

Most will disagree, but I have personal experience with every popular OS out, and Windows Phone 7 is the best for gamers, iOS is best for casual, and Android is best for nerds like me, until it gets unsupported on your phone and you start to hate it.

I appreciate your opinion .

From what I understand, development is a little better with Android. I like the fact that I can embed the SDK directly into the IDE that I already use on a daily basis (Eclipse). So really, this is a deal-breaker for me before I even get started on the devices themselves.
