Exhaust only

Thread Starter
I'm trying to design a cabinet to put my tower inside to help keep it clean, only thing is I'm trying to keep it somewhat aesthetically appealing so I don't want a whole bunch of fans on the front, what I'm wondering is if I just mount a bunch of exhaust fans in the back and put a filtered hole at the front if the airflow would be enough or do I need input fans?

Putting your case in an enclosed space will impede airflow no matter what you do,but it may not be too bad with how you're describing it.

You could use something like this for the front intake, along with the rear exhaust fans should provide decent airflow.

What components? How much heat are we talking about?

that should work, as long as the airflow is good, let cold air come in the bottom or sides of the cabinet, and the exhaust near the top

How does a cover like that effect the CFM? The case I'll be putting in is a Cooler Master HaF 932http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/prod...roduct_id=2810 The reason I'm considering exhaust only is in my current design I have 2 120mm fans in the front and 2 in the back, however I think the CFM exhaust from the case would be greater then that and as such hot air would stay inside the cabinet. So if I switched it to exhaust only and put a grill on the front that is filtered and put say 4 120mm fans on the back would that be enough to keep cool air flowing in?

Alright I think I've settled on doing a vented front with a large amount of exhaust out the back. What I'm wondering now is, would this be enough air flow? I'm thinking like 4 110CFM fans in the back, and is it worth it to put an intake on the front(ie would the exhaust fans speed up the front fan for it to be worth putting in?
