Port Starcraft to Starcraft 2 engine?

Is anyone working on porting the starcraft 1 campaign to starcraft 2?

From what I've seen the editor for sc2 is really flexible, would be awesome to see the original sc1 campaign ported to the new game, using the audio assets, etc..

If I was experienced with the editor and had the time, I would've taken a crack at it, could see it being a fun project, but, unfortunately, I'm inexperienced with barely any time atm :/

As a Black Mesa developer, I can safely say recreating an entire game in a later engine is a pretty big work. Not something you'd just randomly decide to do in two years.
Case in point: The person below me asking "say, why isn't BM finished?"

but yea, there are tons of conversions out there currently working on just importing SC1 units into SC2, though I'm pretty sure someone's going to port the entire campaign eventually. Because of how the editor works and the relatively 2-D scale of the game, it should be significantly easier than porting HL1 into HL2. Getting all the doodads and trim just right might be more difficult, though...

If I had time to really sit down and try, I bet I could get about a mission a month done, even including my relative inexperience with the new editor, though slower in the beginning as I learn the new tricks. Then, of course, I would direct complaints to an email address that doesn't exist. Then, I'd give up after the first 5 missions and everyone will spam aforementioned email address asking why I'm not done, if they can take over the project, etc. Also, here's someone trying to do it:

It's not the campaign. Its multiplayer based. Converting the single player would be a lot of work for mostly nothing. People play SC for its multiplayer, not single player.
