If u play too much, u will play bad - Page 5

It's all about getting in "the zone" and staying in it for me. I can do 1 hour in there, or 5, or 10, if I don't get disturbed. I don't go hungry or thirsty while in this state, but I do need to pee, which is the only thing that gets me out, but if I don't do much while up, this doesn't really get me out completely. It depends on the game of how long it takes to go into this state. I notice that with L4D2 it takes about 5 minutes, but the games only take 30 minutes tops, so that takes me out immediately. But to get into CS:S, I need to play for an hour, easily, before I go there.

I find that a RockStar and Bourbon gets me in the zone

some days I own others I get owned, never cared much about my KDR, I play for fun
not profit

(edit for above post)
That reminds me of the creed of the shade tree mechanic

I have done so much with so little, for so long, that now I can do anything with nothing!

The longer I play, the better I get. I remember playing CS:S for like 5 hours straight one time back in my hay-day. I was shredding league material with pistols and knife.

That was a few years a go though, not as good now.

I don't play many online FPSs anymore, but what I used to notice when I first started playing Counter-Strike as a teenager in 1999, is that I played best when I was baked out of my mind. Just sayin'.

It usually takes me 5 to 10 minutes to warm up. Then I just pwn. In case there is a really good opponent around and I still haven't warmed up, I either go into rage mode and just start blasting like hell at whatever I can (which usually results in me getting pwned somehow), or I suddenly click into my zone and start having so much fun that nobody can touch me for quite some time
