I'm almost scared to ask y'all what games y'all played and beat on the hardest difficulty. This board has never really been on any Elite Gaming ish. I know y'all don't have no hardest mode trophies. What games y'all beat on the hardest settings. Me? What games haven't i beat because i only play on hard i don't care how long it takes me.
Really? So THAT's why it's called overclock.net, and not gameforums.net... Thanks for the insight.

Really, this is retarded, this thread should just get locked as none of this makes any sense.

overclocking a processor and gpu doesnt mean elite gaming compeition and elite gaming, it just means you get to see nicer things in your games

I also can't stand people saying how good they are at a game when they play on anything else than highest difficulty. I also know some who like beating the game as many times as there are difficulty levels: easy, medium, hard, super hard, unrealistically hard etc.
I feel like I've wasted my money if I buy a game and don't play it on max difficulty.

The only game where I sometimes turn one setting off is the "stress damage" in FSX when overspeeding.

It's not that I can't play on highest difficulty, it's just that I don't want to. I don't feel like spending hours banging my head on the same challenge, especially if the only real difference is a scaling up of the numbers. I just don't enjoy doing this. I mean, I will never play a game on easy, but that's just because there's no challenge to it for me. I put the game on a difficulty that is still challenging, and pushes my limits, but not further.

If you don't respect me for this... Meh, I lost the respect of a random dude on the internet. Colour me sad.

This threads hilarious, thank you all so much! PMSL

I don't know what's funnier, an op troll so obvious he may as well be wearing a high viz jacket. Or a bunch of Americans arguing about how to spell a word that isn't even English!

I totally agree. My first play-through is always on Normal level so that I can enjoy the story and graphics and get an experience of what the developers thought is really normal. Then, if I truly enjoyed it, I give it my time for another play-through on Hard. OR if I'm going to be competing with other players on that game, then I use the Hard level for practice.

If I put the hard setting I get stuck for hours in the first level. I always play my games on the easiest settings and use godlike mode with all weapons and ammo, then I'm guaranteed to beat the game.
