Asus P67 PRO ram slot broken ?

Thread Starter
So I today I received sandy bridge. Installed the hardware.

1st the cpu led was burning. Then I put the cpu out of the slot and saw some pins being curved . i was like DAMN. So I'm pushing some pins straight and try it again and it worked :S

Ok so now the RAM LED is burning:

you have 4 ram slots:

1 2 3 4

I have 2 modules:

1 &3 = error
2&4=error
only 3 = error
only 4 = error
only 1 = OK
only 2 = OK
1 & 2 = OK

1 & 4 = ERROR.

Both modules seem to work. I think Both slot 3 and 4 a broken. But I hope not because I don't think I can't RMA it since the motherboard has not all straight pins at the cpu .

What do you guys think?

I would try to RMA it, and explain to them when you talk to them that the pins were bent when you got it.

Indeed, get it replaced where you bought it from. Since you have a little while to do that and they will fix you up. Best of luck to you.
